[NBA All-Star] Second Returns for All-Star Voting.
[–]Bucks zxchary 1401 points 8 hours ago
Luka holy hell
[–]Mavericks gigantism 241 points 8 hours ago
lmao luka for western conference all star captain
[–]Knicks RobbobertoBuii 540 points 7 hours ago
just wondering when was the last time we had a NBA player getting into the all-star game in his first year ?
[–]nowhathappenedwas 726 points 7 hours ago
Only twice since the 90s: Blake and Yao.
But Luka won't get in this year thanks to the Zaza rule.
[–]Supersonics ButtVader 36 points 6 hours ago
I'm surpised LeBron didn't get into the all-star game in his first year
[–]Wizards livefreeordont 8 points 3 hours ago
He finished top 10.in MVP voting. But didn’t make an all NBA team. Averaged 21/5/6
[–]Mavericks Pony2013 104 points 7 hours ago
What rule is that
[–][TOR] Kyle Lowry ShaolinCheesecake 389 points 7 hours ago
Fan votes only count 50% for starters instead of 100% now
[–]Timberwolves paul_f 10 points 6 hours ago
democracy was a mistake
[–]Trail Blazers jackalope503 362 points 6 hours ago
Seriously. Boogie and Lonzo but no sign of Tobias Harris or De'Aaron Fox? Gordon Hayward but no Josh Richardson? Bradley Beal has a fraction of the votes Wade has. People are dumb
[–][UTA] Donovan Mitchell AcesOverPacific 10 points 3 hours ago
Boogie makes the list but not Gobert, give me a fucking break. What a joke.
[–][OKC] Russell Westbrook Swish4141 255 points 8 hours ago
I don't understand why Cousins is even allowed on the ballot when he hasn't played a single game yet this season
[–]Timberwolves mctighe4 705 points 7 hours ago
Towns not on the list while boogie and draymond are, is disgraceful
[–]Timberwolves TdotGdot 21 points 6 hours ago
and Kuz, lol
[–][SAS] Dominique Wilkins bloomingzonda 104 points 7 hours ago
Lma and Kat should be there instead of them
[–]Warriors Futuremfhendrix 160 points 6 hours ago
I agree. I love Draymond but he should not make it this year or even be in the discussion.
[–]Knicks okgusto 14 points 3 hours ago
Klay should probably not be that high either.
[–]Trail Blazers gkulife 19 points 6 hours ago
how tf is Klay ahead of Dame
[–]Thunder Ursus-shock 67 points 7 hours ago
Most shocking for me is Lonzo ball tbh
[–]NBA zeek215 245 points 6 hours ago
Fans vote on popularity, not who deserves it more. They aren't dumb, the league was dumb for giving fans so much voting power before.
[–]Pka_lurker2 120 points 6 hours ago
I mean isn’t the all star game for the fans? As long as there’s not fake votes i think the fans should decide.
[–]NBA zeek215 69 points 6 hours ago
It's for the fans and the players. You know, the guys who are actually busting their butts (sorry Dwight) trying to win games.
The ASG is a treat for fans, and a reward for the players who make it.
[–]secretsodapop 100 points 7 hours ago
He might not get in due to that rule. Seems extremely premature to say he’s definitely not.
[–]Magic Byrie_Swirving 143 points 7 hours ago
Are we sure that coaches and players aren’t also awed by what he’s done?
[–]NBA thisiseku 189 points 7 hours ago
They might be awed, but there are plenty of players behind him in votes who have done more to awe.
[–]xeliviel 43 points 7 hours ago
luka might not start but he has a serious case for the last spot froncourt player. Jokic, Lebron, KD, AD, PG are locks after that, Tobias Harris and KAT are Luka's competition. It's not impossible, since he is averaging 20-7-5 and considering how much fans want him and how clutch he has been. I think he will be an all star
[–]Mavericks juk12 643 points 8 hours ago
Holy fuck Luka with more votes than Steph Curry....
[–]Lightingfast31 47 points 8 hours ago
Damn Luka got more votes than curry. That's crazy cause the warriors fan base is huge and they love curry
[–]Timberwolves njm1602 10 points 4 hours ago
this man luka has an entire nation voting for him lmaooo
[–][BOS] Gerald Wallace Pjotler 18 points 8 hours ago
Is Luka the rookie with most all-star votes ever?
[–]Celtics MarcusNotSmart 305 points 8 hours ago
Idk why but Stephs popularity has taken a bit of a hit the last couple years. I remember at one point he was getting more votes then Lebron, now he’s behind Luka/Kyrie/Giannis
[–]Warriors acurryflurry 62 points 7 hours ago
Considering he was voted captain just last year I wouldn’t say his popularity is taking that big of a hit.
[–][LAL] Kobe Bryant Snackoff 55 points 7 hours ago
A bit but it's more that other West guards (Harden/Westbrook) have had monster years and have big fanbases and that in the East no one cares about the guards that aren't Kyrie so he's on every ballot (plus Celtics boost). Giannis is the new big thing and again the East is just weaker so he's gonna be on every ballot there too.
We all know Luka's story.
[–]NBA thisiseku 17 points 7 hours ago
West guards (Harden/Westbrook) have had monster years and have big fanbases
Neither has a bigger fanbase than Steph and Warriors. Cousins is in top 10.
[–]Nets theToBeHonestGuy 453 points 7 hours ago
Nike‘s KD move worked I guess
[–]Bulls cobrakaistrikefree 144 points 7 hours ago
lol glad someone else buys this conspiracy
[–]Supersonics ionicshoe 66 points 7 hours ago
What's the conspiracy
[–]thegrads_james 275 points 6 hours ago
That Nike gave KD incentive to sign with the Warriors so that he would take away from Steph's popularity
[–]Celtics Spectre700 30 points 6 hours ago
Nike told KD to move to GSW to reduce the popularity of Steph who is signed to under armor. Also to help get KD into a bigger market, as his sales began to slide
[–][DAL] Dennis Smith Mysteriagant 48 points 6 hours ago
I don't believe Nike cares/is that scared of under armour
[–][HOU] James Harden ArabburnvictiM 22 points 6 hours ago
UA stock has dropped 50% since the warriors won in 2015 and shows no signs of returning to anything close to that.
[–][MIA] Goran Dragic ilikepialot 535 points 8 hours ago
Why is Goran getting votes lmao
[–]Heat west_brooker 42 points 8 hours ago
Same people voting for Luka, although I’d want them to vote wade over dragic :(
[–]Hornets PineappleHour[S] 31 points 8 hours ago
I remain annoyed by the presence of D. Wade over Kemba, but I get that it's his last year. Rose staying at the top makes me happy though, dude has worked really hard to get back to where he is.
[–]Suns SportsMasterGeneral 336 points 8 hours ago
Damn my voting 300000 times for Booker didn't work
[–]Knicks HeWhoHogsSticks540 58 points 8 hours ago
Or did it work?
